ASEAN Conference on Biodiversity 2009

ACB 2009 will provide a forum for exchanging perspectives on initiatives that address biodiversity issues in the region, and discussing steps forward in advancing the ASEAN biodiversity agenda with the context of meeting the 2010 Biodiversity Target.

The Conference aims to:

* Report the status of the ASEAN region’s Biodiversity vis-í -vis the 2010 target;
* Discuss key biodiversity issues that are important to the region, including gaps and challenges in ASEAN Member States’ biodiversity Conservation efforts; and
* Recommend the way forward in addressing the region’s biodiversity challenges beyond the 2010 target.

Carbon Markets Turkey, South Caucasus, and Central Asia

Turkey is a leader in producing high standard Voluntary Emission Reductions (VERs) from renewable energy projects. South Caucasus and Central Asia host around 5 registered projects, with another 10 in the pipeline and there is significant potential for more projects under the CDM and JI.

2005 American Water Resources Association Summer Specialty Conference

The conference program focuses on finding solutions for improving watershed management, including the effects of changing land cover and hydrologic disruption.
