This document summeraizes a series of conversations the Conservation and Community Investment Forum (CCIF) and the David and
Lucile Packard Foundation held with leading Silicon Valley VCs. The objective was to find out how a foundation could structure a VC-type funding model which combines the considerable program expertise of Foundations with the world class investment expertise of a major Silicon Valley VC firm.
