This study investigates why the Indo-Pacific reefs are being destroyed at such a prodigious rate and what can be done to stop it. The authors conclude that only a coordinated approach which reforms the economics of the aquarium industry, creates actively enforced marine managed areas, and provides massive technological assistance to fisheries, NGOs, and communities alike, is likely to succeed.
