This report sets out work done by the authors to improve the business community's understanding of the risks and opportunities presented by biodiversity. It shows the benefit of managing biodiversity in a more systematic and sustainable manner, of setting clear minimum standards for biodiversity management, and of moving towards good practice, and argues that doing so will protect shareholder value, as well as the natural and economic value represented by biodiversity.
