Allie Goldstein is a Senior Associate with Ecosystem Marketplace where she writes news and analysis about environmental markets, in particular forest carbon finance and REDD+. She is the lead author of Converging at the Crossroads: State of Forest Carbon Finance 2015 and The Bottom Line: Taking Stock of the Role of Offsets in Corporate Carbon Strategies. She also edits The Carbon Chronicle, Ecosystem Marketplace’s biweekly newsletter on carbon markets.
Allie is passionate about people-powered solutions to climate change and using stories to effect change. She has previously worked as a book editor at a publisher in Boston, a reporter with a community newspaper in Ecuador, and a communications consultation with an environmental justice organization in Detroit.
Prior to joining Ecosystem Marketplace, she founded the Great American Adaptation Road Trip, a journey around the United States to tell stories of climate resilience. Her adaptation stories have been covered by The Atlantic, National Geographic, weather.com, and Orion magazine, and a collection of lessons learned from the journey appear in a report published by the Georgetown Climate Center.
