Senior Consultant Climate Finance
You will be supporting developing country governments in innovative policy concepts such as Intended nationally determined contributions (INDCs), Low-Carbon Development Strategies (LCDS), National Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs), funding proposals to multilateral funding agencies, Green Growth, and related technology transfer and finance issues.
Senior expert/consultant with at least 10 years’ experience:
Climate and/or development finance including with Global Environmental Facility, World Bank, multilateral development banks
In depth understanding of climate/development finance issues, at the international and regional scales, with experience of the current climate finance landscape (through UNFCCC channels and others)
Country level issues and concerns in access to resources and developing in-country capacity development and needs
Knowledge of key stakeholders/actors engaged in climate/development finance for developing economies
Thorough familiarity with the renewable energy/energy efficiency industry / climate finance
Experience in writing of reports, proposals, briefings in English
Willingness to undertake short term missions in developing countries, traveling up to 40% of the time
Advanced degree (Masters Degree or equivalent) in Economics, International Development/Relations, Governance and Institutional Analysis, Environmental Economics or a related field from a recognized and reputable institution.
