Audubon’s Wings internship program invites students and recent graduates to help shape a healthy environment and vibrant future for birds – and all of us who share the planet with them.
Restoration Interns play a critical role in the management and restoration of wetlands, prairies, savannas and woodlands in the 68,000 acres of the Forest Preserves of Cook County. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growing network of individuals and organizations in the Chicago area that possess a personal commitment to conservation.
This internship is Audubon’s collaborative effort with the Forest Preserves of Cook County to restore ecological health and integrity in a wide spectrum of habitats. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in natural areas management.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, seasonal position that runs July through November. Preference will be given to those who committ to the full length of the internship. There is some flexibility in the start and end dates (please specify availability in cover letter).
