We are looking for a highly motivated and conscientious Programme Administrator primarily working within the Ecosystem Assessment Programme (EAP) with the potential for work with other programmes across the Centre in the future. In this administrative, organisational and technical support role you will be responsible for supporting a team of technical staff in their work on ecosystem assessment including biodiversity indicator development, implementation and communication at global, regional and national scales, regional and national ecosystem assessments, the links of such tools with the development of national biodiversity strategies and multi-lateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and the impacts of agriculture on biodiversity.
As Programme Administrator, you will use your excellent organisational and administrative skills to support the Head of Programme, dedicated Project Management Officer and project leaders in fulfilling a range of tasks including project reporting, events organisation and the preparation of funding applications and collation of information for publications. You will also act as communications focal point for EAP, which will involve reviewing, updating and publishing website content and compiling internal bulletins and reports for the Programme.
You will be highly organised, flexible in approach and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and requests. Knowledge of key biodiversity and ecosystem services issues and concepts; experience in coordinating partners, networks, stakeholder groups or steering committees and working internationally; and fluency in another UN language would be an advantage.
