Principal/ Lead Consultant

Carbon Smart is a fast growing team of consultants focussed on practical solutions for carbon, energy and sustainability management in the business environment. We have developed an impressive and loyal client list over the last few years and have delivered a wide range of carbon, energy and sustainability projects.
We are a dynamic, entrepreneurial team committed to working hard to achieve our goals whilst enjoying ourselves along the way. Our team is once again expanding and we are looking for a commercially minded, experienced consultant who wants to make an impact on our company and our clients. Reporting to the Consulting Director, the Principal Consultant will
- Manage the consulting delivery team.
- Lead and deliver projects for our clients in both private and public sector, delivering high quality work on time and to budget
- Research and develop new services, tools and knowledge
- Work with the Directors to develop new business
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Help grow our reputation, find new clients and build our network
- Play a key role in the management of the company

A high impact and business minded individual with an ability to work with clients at all levels, you are currently working in consultancy and have five years’ experience of energy, carbon or environmental consulting along with project management, team leadership and client management experience. You are organised in your work, tenacious and ambitious. You have an entrepreneurial outlook and are excited by the opportunity to contribute to the success of our business. You like a challenge and want an opportunity to personally make a difference for our clients and in our business. You have strong communication skills both written and in presentations. You are passionate about the environment and have made changes in your own life to reflect this.
