FFI is seeking an individual to support our developing programmes in Environmental Markets and Ecosystem Services.   S/he will work with the Environmental Markets team and the Americas and Caribbean team to explore the issues and develop opportunities within the current Environmental Markets and Americas and Caribbean Programmes presented by the environmental markets and ecosystem services concept.

The successful candidate will have practical experience in developing REDD projects and projects that use the payments for ecosystem services (PES) approach (in a broad sense, market-based or otherwise).

S/he will be a strong team player and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment where strategic approaches and conceptual thinking are being brought to deliver innovative projects that benefit conservation and communities. S/he will have a degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline and/or strong experience in a related role.

Protection Advisor for Dam Reservoir Sites, Cambodia

Location:                                                      Phnom Samkos Wildlife Sanctuary,  
                                                                                 Pramouy Ranger Station, Cambodia
                                                                               (with travel to Phnom Penh and elsewhere  as required)

FFI is seeking a highly experienced and results-orientated individual in protected areas management, law enforcement and bio-monitoring to act as the protection advisor for dam reservoir sites and the wider Cardamom Mountains Landscape in Cambodia.

S/he will have strong practical experience in protected areas management with an emphasis on law enforcement (including training rangers in bio-monitoring, apprehension techniques, weapon handling and first aid). S/he will have an advanced degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline such as natural resources management, protected areas management, ecology/biology and/or substantial experience in a related role. Experience working in the south-east Asia region is required.

Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Coordinator, Cambodia

Location:                                                             Phnom Penh, Cambodia

FFI is seeking an experienced conservation specialist with proven conservation field competence, technical expertise and management skills, to act as a coordinator for its new Sustainable Provision of Ecosystem Services in the Cardamom Mountains Landscape Project in Cambodia.    

The successful applicant will have strong practical experience in managing projects that utilize existing and emerging tools and technology to protect ecosystem services required by hydropower projects.   S/he must be able to work with local Cambodian NGOs, University partners and FFI Cambodia Programme staff to ensure project deliverables are met.   S/he will have an advanced degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline and substantial experience in a related role.
