 Conservation Manager

Antananarivo, Madagascar.
Main responsibilities:
 Based in Madagascar, the Conservation Manager heads the Conservation Division and provides leadership, strategic direction and technical support for the development, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of WWF’s conservation strategy and programme in the Madagascar & West Indian Ocean Region, in compliance with WWF’s priorities, policies and standards and under the guidance of the Country Director. The Conservation Manager provides advice to the Country Director on pertinent conservation issues in the region.
What you need:
Required Qualifications and experiences:
Graduate level degree in the management of natural resources, biology or another related field;
Strong experience in policy advocacy and solid understanding of policy making processes;
A minimum of 10 years’ experiences in leading and implementing conservation programmes;
International professional experience in conservation or rural development or another related field;  
Excellent written and oral communications skills, fluency in French and English languages;
Excellent computer knowledge (word-processing, spreadsheet, e-mail…).  
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent organisational and prioritisation competence;
Strong leadership and management skills;
Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative and work independently;
Excellent team player with good networking and interpersonal skills;
Good oral and written communication skills;
