Michael Jenkins
Michael Jenkins is Publisher of the Ecosystem Marketplace. He is the founding President of Forest Trends. Forest Trends, a Washington D.C.-based non-profit organization, was created in 1999 by leaders from conservation organizations, forest product firms, research groups, multilateral development banks, private investment funds, and foundations.

Katherine Hamilton
Katherine is the Director of Forest Trends’ Ecosystem Marketplace. At Ecosystem Marketplace, she has authored numerous pieces on carbon and water markets, as well as co-authored the book Voluntary Carbon Markets: A Business Guide to What They Are and How They Work, six annual State of the Voluntary Carbon Markets, two State of the Forest Carbon Markets, and the first State of Watershed Payments reports. Katherine has continuously lectured and consulted around the globe on environmental markets and ecosystem services. Before joining Ecosystem Marketplace, Katherine worked with the United Nations Development Program-Latin America/Caribbean and as a lead research assistant at the Yale Environmental Law and Policy Center. She has also held positions with Natural Capitalism Inc., the International Council for Science in Paris, France, and teaching outdoor environmental education. Katherine holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from Yale University and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. She currently resides in Boulder, Colorado.

Nathaniel Carroll
Nathaniel is Director of Biodiversity Markets for Ecosystem Marketplace. He currently directs biodiversity and water activities and market-crosscutting projects, including the Ecosystem Services Matrix and MarketWatch, which help stakeholders understand the shape, relationship, and scope of ecosystem markets. Other projects include WatershedConnect.org, Speciesbanking.com, and the book Conservation and Biodiversity Banking. In addition to his work with the Ecosystem Marketplace, Nathaniel has consulted to several eco-asset investment groups. Before joining Forest Trends, Nathaniel worked with a private forestry and real estate company in Panama, channeling private investment to restore degraded lands. Nathaniel spent two years with Conservation International's Rapid Assessment Program and Conservation Tools Program. He has experience conducting ecological research from the Rocky Mountains to Andes, and from the Northwest Hawaiian Islands to the Penobscot Bay. Nathaniel holds a Bachelor of Science from Tufts University and a Master's in Forest Science from Yale University.

Steve Zwick
Steve Zwick is the Managing Editor of Ecosystem Marketplace. Before joining EM, he covered European business and security issues for Time Magazine, Fortune Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal. He also hosted the current affairs program Newslink on Deutsche Welle Radio, and has twice been short-listed for the World Leadership Forum's Business Journalist of the Year Award. In addition to editing EM, he currently blogs on Forbes.com.

Taylor Clayton
Taylor is the Research Assistant in Ecosystem Marketplace's Carbon Program where she aids with research and administration for the State of the Voluntary Carbon Markets and State of the Forest Carbon Markets reports. Additionally, she manages and updates the Forest Carbon Portal. Prior to joining the Ecosystem Marketplace team, Taylor interned in Geneva, Switzerland with R20 Regions of Climate Action. Taylor graduated from Pepperdine University in 2012 with degrees in International Management and Spanish.

Molly Peters-Stanley
Molly Peters-Stanley manages the Voluntary and Land-Based Carbon Programs at Forest Trends’ Ecosystem Marketplace. Here, she has served as lead author of the State of the Voluntary Carbon Markets reports 2010-2012, and contributed to the State of the Forest Carbon Markets reports and World Bank’s State and Trends of the Carbon Markets reports, 2011-2012. In 2012, Molly also led Ecosystem Marketplace’s research into emerging domestic marketplaces, captured first in the report Taking Stock of Government Engagement with Voluntary Carbon Markets. Molly has presented report findings to audiences worldwide, conducted consultations for stakeholders in both the private and public sectors and also regularly publishes articles and news briefs for Ecosystem Marketplace’s environmental markets media service.
Previously, Molly analyzed voluntary and compliance carbon markets in South Australia's Department of Premier and Cabinet Climate Change office, and holds a Master of Science in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.

Daphne Yin
Daphne is the Voluntary Carbon Associate in Ecosystem Marketplace's carbon program. She co-authored Ecosystem Marketplace’s State of the Forest Carbon Markets 2012 report and contributed to the State of the Voluntary Carbon Markets 2012 report. She regularly authors articles and news briefs covering voluntary, forest carbon and other emerging environmental markets. Prior to joining Ecosystem Marketplace, Daphne provided research and editorial support to Richard Sandor at Environmental Financial Products, the incubator for the Chicago Climate Exchange. She also held positions at Bradford Allen, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, and the NYC Economic Development Corporation. Daphne graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Political Science and minor in Environmental Studies.

Ben Dappen
Ben has worked with Forest Trends since November 2000 as Webmaster and IT Associate, and also provides design and publishing support. He also serves as a web developer for a number of Forest Trends' partners, including the Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI) and Ecoagriculture Partners. Ben graduated from Reed College in 2004 with a History degree.

Deborah McKay
Deborah is the Director of Operations for Forest Trends and the Ecosystem Marketplace. Deborah's role includes management of the grants administration process, and drafting and approving contracts and agreements that define consultant and partner organizational relationships. She supports the organization’s donor outreach and fundraising efforts, and contributes to major grants management activities. Deborah most recently worked for the World Bank in the office of the Italian Executive Director. Prior to working at the Bank she managed stores for The Timberland Company and ran a commercial department for United Colors of Benetton in Washington, D.C. She speaks Portuguese and Italian fluently and Spanish and French proficiently. Deborah holds a BA in History from the University of São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil.
