Policy Manager – Forest Stewardship Council

Summary  


Under the supervision of the PSU Ecosystem Services Programme Coordinator, the successful candidate  in his/her position  as Policy  Manager will  be responsible for  managing assigned projects and activities to explore, pilot test, and adopt standards (indicators), systems (accreditation, database), reward mechanisms and methodologies (monitoring, impact assessment) for the certification of Ecosystem Services
 
Education and experience desired
 
Education: University/ technical college degree in forestry / biology / natural resource management / etc. or equivalent experience
 
Professional Experience: 5+ years of work experience in one or more of the following: multistakeholder initiatives, standard development processes, the forestry sector, PES schemes; conservation management; corporate environmental responsibility programs
 
Permanent/Part Time: 2-year contract for full time employment (40h/week), permanent contract thereafter
