Marketing and Sales Intern – Face the Future

Face the Future aims to strengthen its marketing and sales efforts primarily in commercialising its core  product: quality forest carbon offsets into the voluntary carbon market. Face the Future seeks a highly  motivated intern to join our marketing and sales team for a period of 6 months with a possibility earning an  entry-level position upon successful completion. The application deadline is April 10th, 2013 and the internship  is expected to begin in early May, 2013.

Roles and responsibilities  


Marketing / Communications  
  • Create, manage and organize regular marketing content (flyers, sales emails, targeted newsletters etc..)  
     
Market research  
  • Frequent carbon market research, supply and demand  
     
Sales  
  • Processing and finalizing sales orders  
  • Reach out to new prospective clients  
  • Represent Face the Future at European carbon market related conferences and events  
     
Requirements
The candidate must:  
  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications and/or environmental sciences  
  • Be familiar with concepts of climate change, forest ecosystems services and carbon markets  
  • Be able to quickly learn and communicate on our product offerings  
  • Be able to easily manage relationships and  provide outstanding customer support  
  • Have experinces with mail out services like Mail Chimp etc.. knowledge on graphic design for web and  
  • print and video  
  • Have at least 1 (preferably 2) years work experience in a marketing and/or sales role, preferably within an  
  • NGO or environmental firm  
  • Fluent in written/spoken English and Dutch, fluency in written and spoken French and/or German an  
  • advantage  
  • Must be a citizen of the EU and financially secure enough to live in or near Amsterdam during the  
  • duration of the internship
