Job Purpose & Responsibilities
 
Envido is a one of the fastest growing carbon management companies in the UK.
 
The chosen candidate will be responsible for producing communications and training materials related to climate change, energy awareness, behavioural change and low carbon technologies for Envido’s behaviour change programmes.
 
This internship is a great opportunity as a first role, allowing the candidate to play a key role in the Change Team and to get communications experience in client projects. Possibilities for full time employment are available for exceptional candidates at the end of the internship.
 
Main responsibilities will consist of:
  • The research, composition and dissemination of a number of Client internal communication materials including: news articles, newsletters, briefing packs, competitions, announcements and posters
  • Contribution to Envido’s training programmes: organising the logistics for events, creating training materials and assisting at the training sessions themselves
Education & Qualifications
  • ‘A’ levels to include English
  • A degree in Marketing and communications would be desirable
Experience & Skills
 
Essential:
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent written english
  • Ability to take a scientific/technical article or report and turn it into a short summary that people with no prveious knowledge in the area can understand
  • Ability to use language to engage/target different groups of people i.e. management and new graduates
  • Ability to work independently and to deadlines
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powepoint
Desirable:
  • Experience in writing articles/documents or other forms of creative writing i.e. school/uni newspaper
  • Experience in research
  • A genuine personal interest in helping individuals and wider society to reduce their environmental impact

  • Lateral and creative (think out of the box) – think of new ways of presenting information and engaging people
  • Engaging – ability to make a relatively “dry” topic engaging
  • Interpersonal skills – Friendly and confident with new people
